Diamond Blenman, Genre #1/Intro

Education has thought to have been one thing over hundred and hundreds of years. Just like people, education has evolved. From text book to tech notebook. Throughout this website, you'll see some work done over the course of a 2 month period. You'll see many beautiful faces of education. I will walk you through the closed curtains of a once stable education system.

Throughout my process of research and application. I've noticed that there are plenty of instances when education and the children have been placed on the back burner and haven't been made as a top priority. For instance, later on in this project i will mention times when the heads of the school district are accepting bonuses, knowing the kids education is suffering. This is a perfect example of selfishness. If people are found to have such selfish traits, the shouldn't have a job involving two conflicting things. Such as children and their well being, and money.

It has been said plenty of times that kids aren't even happy at school. In the book, "Letters to a young teacher" written by, Jonathan Kozol. They explained this. "There is no "happiness index" for the children in our public schools, and certainly not for children in inner-city schools where happiness is probably the last thing on the minds of overburdened state officials". They haven't even been asked. Back in the day kids have had, home economics, extended recess and supplies that they needed that the district have to them. Now, thinking of experiences back in middle and elementary school where teachers use to moan and groan about time they had to purchase school supplies for their students.

In Japan, students are given things like extended recess, home economics and high school students are even given nap time. Doing this is said to have such an impact on the child capabilities to grown and it contributed to the child sanity.
